Recently on the podcast, I interviewed a food writer and blogger, Estelle Tracy, on her career and how she does what she does. An interesting point came out, which was this. She started blogging in 2004, and stayed with it consistently until very recently. Her audience is a direct result of that sustained effort, along with good data collection (get those email addresses!!).
So many young entrepreneurs erroneously think that success happens overnight. I’m here to tell you: there are no overnight successes. Anyone that you admire in the business world worked very hard for a sustained period of time to arrive where they are. If you think that building an audience happens overnight, you are fooling yourself.
